Well, it's been a while, Mindsay... But I'm writing a new blog. Haha.

I've been quite happy the past few months. Despite my best friend leaving me, I'm great. Although... I'm pretty sure he's more than my best friend now... >.>

So basically. I'm in love. And the guy loves me back. BUENO!

I am so happy. ^.^

Together We Will Live Forever
I am currently obsessed with the movie The Fountain. This is one of those movies that makes you think. It is rather slow-moving, at first, but in the end it is so beautiful and very thought-provoking.

It's basically a journey for one man, Tommy Creo, in three different eras: 17th century Spain, where he is a conquistador searching for the Tree of Life to save the Queen and country he loves; the present days, where he is researching a remedy for cancer to save his wife who is dying from cancer; and the future, where he is traveling with the Tree of Life to Xibalba, the Mayan underworld. The stories intertwine, and at the start it is hard to decipher what is going on. But after a while you understand, somewhat, and you think about the real message conveyed in this movie. The point is, there is no one message. There are many messages, and no wrong way to see it.

The first time I saw it was with my best friend, Kyle. Right after it came out on DVD, he bought it and we sat in his basement and watched it. I remember at the end, during the credits, there is a haunting song named "Together We Will Live Forever" playing while the words slowly appear and fade away, leaving stars in their wake. We sat there the whole time, and even when the menu came back up we didn't move. It's one of those types of movies, and I am in love with it.

The music in this movie is hauntingly and chillingly beautiful. Composed by Clint Mansell, it conveys every emotion felt by Tommy as he goes through life. This score alone has pushed him up to the top of my favorite modern composers list, along with John Williams.

This is a link to a guy named Lennon Aldort playing "Together We Will Live Forever" on the piano. Give this guy some love; he is very talented. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiZ58E-Gu_E

Anyway, that is all for today. <3

SURVEY?!?!?! Yeah. Lame.
1. What would you take from your house if you knew it would be flooded tomorrow:
The letters I have received from my best friend, my iPod, and my computer. Oh, and my scriptures.

2. If you could erase anything you ever said to anyone, what would it be?:

Looking back on things, no.

3. Your stuck in a room for an hour with a chalk board, what do you draw on it?:

Lines and scribbles. Most likely.

4. The theme song for your life is called?:

There's a song called "Life is Beautiful" by Vega4 that can sum up how I'm feeling right now.

5. If your life was a movie, what category would it be in?:

Comedy

6. Something you wish to accomplish before the end of the year:

Find a job. Possibly pay off my car, if I could earn that much.

7. How much does it take to make you laugh?
:
Recently, not much at all.

8. How many sheep do you want on your farm?:

None.

9. Which wizard of Oz character are you most like?:

Well, not her in Wizard of Oz, but I would have to say the Wicked Witch of the West. She's just misunderstood, as we find out in Wicked.

10. You learn through mistakes, what mistake are you glad you made?:

Meeting Kyle. Although I'm sure it wasn't a mistake now.

11. Would you ever run naked in the rain with your love?:

Depending on how I feel that day. But I would go running in the rain with my love.

12. Do you think Giant anacondas really have a purpose on this earth?:

Yes. We just don't know it yet.

13. Which is worse…15 pounds underweight or overweight?:

Um. I'd say underweight.

14. Do you like eating ice cream out of the carton?:

Sometimes I do.

15. Do you find it gross to share drinks with family or friends?:

No.

16. Does the world revolve around you?:

No, the world revolves around the sun, and it's MUCH bigger and better than I am.

17. Is everyone equally important to the world?:
Yes. Normally people don't see their importance until they're too old to do anything about it.

18. Do some people truly deserve to die?:

It is not my place to judge.

19. If the world comes to an end…how do you think it will go?:

Exactly as the scriptures say it will.

20. Will artificial intelligence help better or destroy the world?:

For a long time, it will help better. But there will be a revolt eventually.

21. How long does it take you to get out of bed in the morning?:

Depends on how I feel when I wake up.

22. How important is it for us to find other planets, resources and life?:

I think it's important. Our resources on this planet will come to a stand-still, and for a long time we won't be able to do anything and will revert back to the times of the horse and buggy. So if we don't find resources elsewhere it will get bad. Although I don't think it would be good for the planet.

23. What do you think we'll use other planets for in the future?:

Depends on what the planet holds. If there is a substantial atmosphere, we could develop places to live. Otherwise, resources.

24. Do you think emptying our trash, pollution, and waste on the moon is okay?:

No.

25. What do you think about California?:

The cost of living is too high. If it wasn't that high, I would live there.

26. Is it important to you to always stay(live) close to family?:

No. Sometimes you need to live far away to get closer spiritually and emotionally.

27. Why are slasher films entertaining?:

Um... I don't know!

28. Do you think it would be a good idea if dinosaurs were reborn?:

Depends on the dinosaur.

29. What do you think about Tennessee?:

Eh, the country music needs to die.

30. What kind of animal do you think the world could live without?:

Flies. Although that's not an animal. So I think... maybe... um... I don't know.

31. If someone invented glasses that can see through things, would you buy it?:

Probably. They'd end up broken though, by Kyle; he breaks everything of mine. So if that happened I wouldn't buy another one.

32. If you were a spider where would you crawl away and live?:

Under a rock in the dirt on the floor of a jungle.

33. What do you think about pop ups?:

Lame.

34. Would you prefer to be emotionless, so you didn’t have to feel a heartbreak?:

NO. Every experience we learn from.

35. When you die, and if you become an angel, who would you watch over?:

Kyle...

36. If when you die, you become a ghost, would you try to contact your loved ones?:

I don't know.

37. Would you want to haunt anyone? Who?:

KYLE!!! MWAHAHAHAHA!

38. What does everyone live for? (could it be love)?:

What I think everyone SHOULD live for is the chance to be better and to better the people around them. Love is a very good thing to live for, though. But it has to be true love.

40. Are emotions what make people desire to thrive and live?:

Emotions are a huge drive for a lot of people. Like me. Although that's not my main reason for my desire to live. I'd have to say it's my best friend... He's kind of my everything.

Giving it my all
Tags: love happy gone
So. You're gone now. And I can't help but feel happy. I mean, I miss you more than I've missed anything before in my life, but you're in the right place. I know you are, and you know you are.

You've realized things as of late. Things that I've been feeling for three and a half years now. And I'm scared. I'm afraid I'm going to lose it. But at the same time I feel so wonderful and beautiful and it's all because of you.

I've almost found my niche in life. I'm not quite exactly where I want to be, but I'm comfortable and I'm happy. Happy and optimistic for once. Yet I know there's somewhere else I need to be, something else I need to be doing. Which is why I'm going to be going on a mission of my own in 6 months.

I had a dream last night. Like all dreams since you left, you were in it. But this wasn't one of the happy dreams I've been having; this one, you were upset with me, and you wouldn't talk to me... and it hurt. I know that you're better than that, and for the past 6 months I've gotten to see that in action. You've only grown more since you left, as well as I.

Bittersweet, isn't it? I've always been one for the romanticized views. If only you could see how far this has come. I mean, I know you can see it when I write to you, but I want you to see just how happy I am, how proud I am of you, how every word you say and write bears a really good weight on me. And it is good. You've helped me, I hope you know. Helped me more than I could ever tell you, or you will ever know in this life.

I tell you again, I love you. I love you with more than just my heart; I love you with everything I am. You are everything I have ever wanted; you help me smile even when I'm feeling down, and even though you're away. I could never tell you enough how much I love you, and I could never describe how much I want to be better whenever I think of you.

And now, I close this.
